Carriage Tour & Royal Tea Experience

Hadley’s Orient Hotel is pleased to be partnering with Sharon and Steve at Heritage Horse Drawn Carriages to provide an exclusive Carriage Tour and Royal Tea Experience.

Enjoy being collected from outside Hadley’s by your guides who have worked closely with Hadley’s to provide an exclusive Horse & Carriage tour through Old Hobart Town, Salamanca’s famous Waterfront and the Battery Point area.

Guests can relax in comfort on this 45 minute guided tour of the area before returning to Hadley’s where you will enjoy a Royal Tea Experience. The elegantly restored Atrium at Hadley’s is our stunning space for the traditional Royal Tea experience reminiscent of the Victorian Era. Afternoon Tea has been an institution at Hadley’s for many years. Diners enjoy a selection of fine loose leaf teas accompanied by the quintessential three-tiered stand consisting of Hadley’s freshly baked signature scones, delicate sandwiches, delightful savouries, and traditional sweet treats reminiscent of the Victorian era. Royal Tea also includes a glass of Jansz sparkling wine. Attentive service complements the finest quality Noritake china. From the hand-crafted wooden tea display menu, to the crisp white linen, to the quaint sugar cubes and tongs – no detail is overlooked.

Tours depart at 1.00 pm on Fridays and guests will be seated for a Royal Tea Experience at 2.00 pm. Please note bookings are essential. Bookings can be made with our Reservations team by phoning 03 6237 2999. Note tours only available Fridays and we will contact you shortly after the time of booking to confirm details.

The cost of this experience is $139.00 per person inclusive of a fully guided horse and carriage tour and a signature Royal Tea at Hadley’s Orient Hotel.
