Hobart is Tasmania’s harbour capital, located in the south-east of the state at the foot of majestic Mount Wellington.
Car parking facilities are available in several locations near to Hadley’s Orient Hotel in Hobart’s CBD. Please download our useful complimentary local car parking guide here:
Located at the entrance to the hotel on Murray Street, there is limited 15-minute parking space where guests are able to pull up, drop luggage off and check-in with the reception team before parking. There is street parking on the Murray Street block but it is limited and metered.
Located amidst an array of boutique shops and chic eateries, Hadley’s is just a short stroll from a range of some of Hobart’s most popular activities, attractions and cultural experiences – including Salamanca and the waterfront precinct. Some of our favourite experiences include:
MONA, the Museum of Old and New Art, is a ‘subversive adult Disneyland’ in Hobart, Tasmania. Journey to the site via high-speed ferry from Hobart. On arrival, a huge, windowless, concrete and corten steel construction disorients your expectations. And as you descend, your senses are thrown into overdrive. It’s dark, noisy and smelly at times; have a drink at the Void bar, set against a dramatic sandstone backdrop, to steady your nerves. As you pass through the building, contemporary, ancient and modern art jostles for attention, and compels you to look at your world in a different way http://www.mona.net.au
